Sept. 6 – Happy Birthday wishes are sent out to Frank Baird, of Dillwyn, celebrating on Saturday, Sept. 8; Diane Green, of Cumberland, Betty Jo LeSueur, of Dillwyn, and Tammy Gough, of Wingina, celebrating on Sunday, Sept. 9; Shirley Waycaster, of Dillwyn, celebrating on Monday, Sept. 10; Terry Sprouse, of Dillwyn, and Elizabeth Cook, of Powhatan, celebrating on Tuesday, Sept. 11; and Hilda Hicks, of Dillwyn, celebrating on Thursday, Sept. 13.

Barry and Linda Miles, of Cumberland, Pete and Annie May Miles, of Dillwyn, and Danny Figgins, of Front Royal, all enjoyed an afternoon of great food, fun and fellowship at a Dillwyn restaurant on Sunday, Sept. 2.

Our thoughts and prayers go out this week to those who are sick and shut-in.

Pete and Annie May Miles, of Dillwyn, visited in the home of James and Virginia Boyles in Cumberland on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Congratulations to Pastor Terry and Pam Tolliver, of Dillwyn, who will be celebrating their wedding anniversary on Monday, Sept. 10.

Barry and Linda Miles, along with several families of First Baptist Church of Powhatan, and Danny Figgins, of Front Royal, all enjoyed an evening of great fellowship, food and fun at a Powhatan restaurant on Sunday, Sept. 2.

Spreading God's Gifts, Inc., is a local nonprofit home-grown faith-based ministry organization that assists working individuals or families in need -primarily serving Buckingham and surrounding counties.

On Saturday evening, Sept. 8, from 6-8 p.m. at the Buckingham County Middle School Cafetorium located at 1184 High School Road in Buckingham, Spreading God's Gifts will host a benefit gospel music concert and bake sale auction.

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a nonprofit organization, will hold their regular monthly meeting on Saturday, Sept. 8, at 1 p.m. at Brown's Chapel United Methodist Church, located off of U.S. Route 15 north of Dillwyn on State Route 617 (Gravel Hill Rd). All members are cordially invited to attend and bring a covered dish. Tea will be provided by the association.
