CUMBERLAND, Sept. 13 – Calvin Du'vor Thurston Sr., 84, of Cumberland, departed this life on Sunday, September 9, 2012 in Cumberland.

He is survived by a son, Michael A. Thurston (Gabrielle); daughter, Kim Thurston- Foster (Curtis); 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; five sisters-in-law, Shirley Webb (Clarence), Carolyn Johnson (John), Lillian Smith (Marvin), Edna Sims, and Evelyn Sims; brother-in-law, Howard Sims (Dorothy); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

His remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home where public viewing will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, 11 a.m. at Tearwallet Baptist Church, Cumberland with the Rev. Sandy Carrington, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
