Goode Should Withdraw From Race

Editor, The Herald:

I read with much sadness in Friday's July 27th Farmville Herald that Virgil Goode was running as a candidate for the Presidential election as a nominee of the Constitution Party. He recognizes that the odds are against him, as he said “I'm a very long shot.” While Goode is a good man, I believe that every vote for Goode, in reality, is a vote for Obama.

I don't believe that our country could endure another four years with Obama as President; he is leading this country into socialism as fast as he can, and that is not good.

So I hope that Virgil Goode will be the gentleman I know him to be and withdraw his name as a candidate for President.
