KEYSVILLE, August 28 – Dan Calvin Pearson, 83, of Keysville, departed this life Monday, August 27, 2012 after nine months of failing health.
He served faithfully and honorably in the United States Navy as a Chief Machinist Mate for 30 years. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Mr. Pearson is survived by nephews, Ronnie D. Pearson of Dinwiddie, Raymond C. Pearson Jr. of Midlothian and a niece, Connie P. Davis of Ringold. He is preceded in death by parents, Oliver Ross Pearson and Martha Kathleen Thompson Pearson and brothers, Oliver Ross Pearson Jr., William (Bill) Pearson and Raymond C. Pearson.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 29 in the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery, Meherrin.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday (tonight), August 28.
The remains rest at the Browing-Duffer Funeral Home, Keysville.
