JULY 17 – Peggy K. Ammons, 80, of Farmville, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 at her residence. She was born July 16, 1931 in North Carolina to the late Claude W. and Minnie Howard Kale.

She was the wife of Stanley W. Ammons and worked alongside him at Farmville Vision Center for years. She was a very active member of the Farmville Garden Clubs and was an avid gardener.

Mrs. Ammons is survived by her husband; children, Stanley W. Ammons Jr. of Fairfax and Susan Perkins (Garland) of Farmville; and two grandchildren, Nathan and Ian Ammons.

A private graveside service was held at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
