NEW CANTON, July 17 – Mary Dove Wharam, 68, of New Canton, died Friday, July 13, 2012 at her home. She was born April 21, 1944, the daughter of the late Clarence and Elsie Dove. She was the widow of Warren Curtis Wharam.

She is survived by a son, Curtis Wharam and wife, Vonda of Dillwyn; three sisters, Anna Callicut and Leona Dove, both of Mt. Jackson and Virginia Waddel of Roanoke; brother, John Dove of Gordonsville and two grandchildren, Brittney and Kelby Wharam, both of Dillwyn.

A funeral service was held Monday at Arvon Presbyterian Church with interment in Arvonia Memorial Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Arvon Presbyterian Church.

Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, was in charge of the arrangements.
