WORSHAM, July 5 – James Richard Calhoun, 90, son of the late Thomas Addison Calhoun and Maude Allen Calhoun, of Worsham, died in Athens, Greece on October 10, 2009.

He was a graduate of Farmville High School in 1937, has served during the 2nd World War, in the U.S. Army Air Corps, and attended the University of Washington where he studied engineering. He worked in Indonesia, Greenland, Saudi Arabia, Greece and other countries as a civil engineer.

Mr. Calhoun married Anna Sideridakis in Greece and had two daughters, Marianna and Madeline-Elle and two grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Lane's Chapel Cemetery.
