JULY 24 – Alvin Palmore Mason, 77, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012.

He is survived by a daughter, Wanda M. Thompson (John) of Farmville; son, Alvin P. Mason Jr. (Phyllis) of Prospect; two brothers, Forest and Tommy Mason of Farmville; and a grandson, Shawn Thompson of Farmville. He was predeceased by a grandson, Stacy B. Thompson.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 26 at Doyne-Burger-Davis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of the service, and also at the home of the daughter.

Doyne-Burger-Davis Funeral Home, Farmville, is in charge of the arrangements.
