June 7 – Happy Birthday wishes are sent out to Peggy Bickford, of New Canton, celebrating on Sunday, June 17, Eileen Reynolds, of Buckingham, celebrating on Monday, June 18; and Pete Miles, who will celebrate his 80th birthday on Wednesday, June 20.

Welcome home to Darlene Christian of New Canton. She spent a couple of days at Centra Southside Community Hospital in Farmville last week. She is said to be doing ok.

Our thoughts and prayers go out this week to those who are sick and shut-in.

Sympathy is extended to the Wayne Davenport Family of Buckingham in the home going of his brother, Frank, of Chesapeake. He will be greatly missed by all.

Barry and Linda Miles, of Cumberland, were evening dinner guests in the home of Chuck and Nancy Fairchild and Ella Snoddy in New Canton on Saturday evening, June 9, in honor of Chuck's 60th birthday.

Agnes Ogle, of Cumberland, visited in the home of Barry and Linda Miles in Cumberland on Monday afternoon, June 11.
