Prince Edward County High School forward Lauren Keup was named to the All-Region I Girls Soccer First Team in voting conducted by the region's coaches late last month. Keup was the only player from the Southside District to receive First Team honors.

PECHS fared better in voting for Second Team, as forward Katrina Lowe, midfielder Sara Campbell and defender Madeline Buczek were named to the squad.

Jamestown swept the Region I Player and coach of the year awards with Nicolette Young winning Player of the Year, and Kevin and Michelle Dawson winning Coach of the Year, respectively.
