HAYES, June 19 – Bernard Wilson Thomas, 86, of Hayes, formerly of Hampton, died Friday, June 15, 2012. He was born in Buckingham County, the son of the late Stuart Everette Thomas and Lottie Pearl Thomas and widow of Virginia Sharpe Thomas.

He is survived by a son, Bernard W. (Bernie) Thomas Jr. and wife, Tina of Hayes; two sisters, Louise T. Dunkum of Mechanicsville and Shirley T. Wooten of Dillwyn; three brothers, Linwood M. Thomas of Chesterfield, Raymond H. Thomas of Dillwyn and Julian A. Thomas of Richmond.

A funeral service was held Sunday, June 17 at Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in Cedar Baptist Church Cemetery.
