Editor, The Herald:
I am very happy to report that we had no wrecks or tragedies on Prom Night and we had another safe Prom and After-Prom at Prince Edward County High School. I would like to thank the Prince Edward County School Board, Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors, parents, churches, individuals and businesses in Prince Edward County for their financial support that allowed us to provide a safe place for students to go after the prom. We could not provide this event for our students without the support of Main Street Lanes, Kinex, Navona Hart-Real Living Cornerstone, Hill and Davis CPA, Bruiser Wrestling Fed, W.A. Watson and Sons Insurance, Carrington Music, Gantt Agency, Shorter Funeral Home, Gregory Jewelry, Flip Flops, Appomattox River Company, Farmville Mini Storage, STEPS, Key Office, Dr. Ellery Sedgwick, Benchmark Bank, Piedmont Alcohol and Safety Action Program, Ellington Energy System, Arena Trucking, Solid Rock Baptist Church, Kyler and Mary Reed, Penelope, Mike Campbell, Wal-Mart, Longwood University, Citizen's Bank, Laura French, Carter's Flower Shop, Covenant Dove, Taco Bell, Long John Silver's, Caryn's Bridal.
I also want to thank the many parents and teachers who stayed up until the wee hours of the morning to help me with the After Prom Party at Main Street Lanes.
