MAY 15 – Nellie Glasgow Hodges, 93, of Farmville passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012 in Chester. She was the wife of the late Cornelius W. Hodges.

Born June 6, 1918 in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of the late William B. and Lessie Mae Anderson Glasgow. She was retired as a clerk with Owen Sanford Drug Store and was a lifelong member of Sharon Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mildred Coxton of North Chesterfield and Peggy Bowen of Chester; sister, Gracie Handy of Farmville; four grandchildren, Michael Croxton, Marjorie Loya, Timothy Bowen and Charles Bowen; five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at Sharon Baptist Church in Green Bay with interment in the church cemetery.
