DILLWYN, April 3 – Russell (Rusty) Moss Jr., 74, of Dillwyn, died Sunday, April 1, 2012. He was born June 7, 1937 in Buckingham County, the son of the late Russell Moss Sr. and Virginia Taylor Moss.

He was an employee of Buckingham Correctional Center in the maintenance department, a former member of the Dillwyn Town Council and an Army Veteran.

Mr. Moss is survived by two sisters, Carole VanFossen of Chesterfield and Sue Moss of Dillwyn; two brothers, James E. Moss Sr. of Scottsville and Vic Moss of Dillwyn.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 4 at 2 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in the Dillwyn Town Cemetery with Military Honors.

The family will receive friends Tuesday (tonight) from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Buckingham County Rescue Squad or Relay for Life, c/o First Baptist Church of Dillwyn.
