The Farmville Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in the Town Manager's conference room located at 116 North Main Street, Farmville, Virginia to hear citizen comments on the following zoning variance requests on behalf of Rock River, Inc. to convert the single family dwelling at 125 S. Bridge Street into a duplex which is zoned Residential District (R3). The Board of Zoning Appeals will meet following the Public Hearing.

A variance of 1,009.56 square feet is requested for lot area. The zoning ordinance requires that the minimum lot area in a residential R-3 shall be five thousand (5,000) square feet plus two thousand five hundred (2,500) square feet for each additional dwelling unit under one (1) roof. The proposed converted structure from a single family dwelling to a duplex would have 6,490.44 SF instead of the required 7,500 SF.

All other requirements of the zoning ordinance will be met.
