CARTERSVILLE, March 8 – Garland L. Blanton Jr., 81, of Cartersville, died Saturday, March 3, 2012.

He is survived by his wife, Nell C. Blanton; four children, Carol B. Baldwin and Patricia B. Lough, both of Farmville, Lee Blanton of Cartersville, and Betty B. Pace of Midlothian; two sisters, Janice Hudgins and Vivian Dunn, both of Cartersville; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in the Cartersville Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 7 with interment in Cartersville Ceme-tery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cartersville Cemetery Association, 25 High St., Cartersville, VA 23027.
