NEW CANTON, Dec. 1 – Roger Lemuel Thomas, 71, of New Canton, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 16, 2011. He was the widower of Martha Ann Thomas. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Grace Pearl LeSueur and Morris Lemuel Thomas.

Mr. Thomas is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Epps of Ashland, Debbie Epps of Tappahannock and Cathy Thomas of Kentucky; a son, Darnell Thomas of Richmond; brother, Bobby Earl Thomas of New Canton; two close cousins, Claude Toney of Buckingham and Melvin Toney of Richmond; three grandchildren, Brandy, Jade and Olivia Epps and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 3, at 2 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home.
