November 3 – Happy Birthday wishes are sent out to Dan (Shot) LeSueur, of Dillwyn, celebrating on Friday, November 4; Larry Davidson, of Cumberland, celebrating on Sunday, November 6; and Betty Waycaster, of Dillwyn, and Eric Cooke, of Cartersville, celebrating on Tuesday, November 8.
Visiting in the home of Ralph and Fern Dunnavant in Dillwyn last week was Fern's mother Myrle Gibson of Covington.
Hello this week to our dear friends in Christ Tom and Mildred Brown of Cumberland.

Pete and Annie May Miles, of Dillwyn, visited in the home of their dear friends in Christ Bud and Ella Mae Dunn, of Farmville, last week.
Hint: Make your own window cleaning solution: combine a half cup non-sudsy ammonia, with one cup white distilled vinegar and two tablespoons of cornstarch in a gallon of water.
The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a non-profit organization, will be hosting their annual Thanksgiving Banquet on Saturday, November 5 at 1 p.m. at the VFW Hall on Route 60 in Buckingham. All members are asked to attend and bring a covered dish with meats, tea and coffee to be provided by the association. Maranatha Baptist Church located on Tuggle Road in Farmville, will host a special pre-Thanksgiving Day celebration on Sunday, November 13. At 10:30 a.m., the day will begin with Bluegrass Gospel Music from the Sandy Creek Bluegrass Gospel Band of Amelia. Old-fashioned preaching with a heart-felt soul-stirring message from God's Holy Word from church pastor Steve Conwell will follow this. This will be followed by a Thanksgiving Feast in the church fellowship hall. All are cordially invited to attend. Arvonia Christian Fellowship Church Thrift Store, located on U.S. Route 15 North of Dillwyn in Arvonia, in the former Agnes's Market Building is open Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds from the store are used to help individuals and families in their hour of need. Cedar Baptist Church, located just off of U.S. Route 15 North of Dillwyn on State Route 650 (Trents Mill Rd.) hosts a Men's Promise Keepers Prayer Breakfast each Sunday morning excluding fifth Sundays) from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
The Arvonia Christian Fellowship Church, located North of Dillwyn on State Route 672 in Arvonia, will host special services on Saturday, November 5 at 6 p.m., we are invited to enjoy a delicious covered dish meal followed by Gospel music.
