Editor, The Herald:

I recently read a letter in The Farmville Herald saying that Elbert Womack “did nothing to help bring in a concrete plant that wanted to locate in the county.” This is flat-out untrue. I was the applicant trying to get the land for the concrete plant rezoned. The Planning Commission turned me down, and when I appealed to the Board of Supervisors, Elbert voted for approval. Also, throughout the process Elbert introduced me to several people who he thought could help me. I do not understand where the letter writer is getting the information, but I just want to set the record straight.
