DILLWYN, Oct. 13 – Virgie Lee Tolbert Bryant, 81, of Dillwyn passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in Dillwyn. Born in Buckingham County, November 19, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Susie Anna Bryant Tolbert.

Survivors include her two daughters, Gloria Andrews of Buckingham and Barbara Atkins of Meherrin; two sisters, Pauline Allen of Buckingham and Estelle Smith of Madison Heights; brother, Edward Sherman “Pete” Tolbert of Hixburg; five grandchildren, Craig Chernault, Jill Evans, Blake Andrews, Gordon Hurt and Keith Webb and four great-grandchildren, Kristopher Hurt, Aislyn Chernault, Jenna Evans and Lars Andrews.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, October 16, in Dunkum Funeral Home.
