Editor, The Herald:

I am writing this letter to express our appreciation to the Town of Farmville and County Beautification Council for its generous donation of $2,426.53 for the landscaping at the new Farmers Market.

The Town and County Beautification Council was made up of representatives of various garden clubs and worked on projects throughout the town. They were very helpful to the town in offering advice on areas that needed improvement, and providing funds for plantings.

Even though they are no longer an organized group, their memory of what they have done for our community will always be remembered.

A great big thank you to all the members.
