FLORIDA, Oct. 6 – Kathleen 'Cathi' Clerkin McGonigal, of Tampa, Florida died peacefully at her home Wednesday, September 21, 2011 after a long battle with cancer.

She is survived by her loving husband, Val Monroe; three sons, Brian, Scott and Christopher; four grandchildren, Megan, Brian Patrick, Mykel and Halen Rosie; her father, Leo F. Clerkin of Farmville; three sisters, Gerri Woodson and Diane Gilliam of Pamplin and Mary Lou Cornwell of Lattimore, NC, and several nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her mother, Georgia M. Clerkin of Farmville.

Arrangements for a Celebration of Life Memorial are pending at this time.
