BURKEVILLE, Sept. 29 – Ola Mae Cook Dunnavant, 95, of Burkeville, departed this life into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 in Farmville. She was a lifelong member of Bagby Memorial Baptist Church in Burkeville.
She is survived by a daughter, Janice D. Burkhart and husband, Wayne of Burkeville; sister-in-law, Golda W. Whittley of Victoria; nieces, Joyce T. Dunkum of Burkeville, Mavis T. Baldwin of Farmville and Phyllis C. Michael of Lynchburg; and nephew, Wilson F. Cook of Burkeville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Andrew Dunnavant, and two brothers, William T. Cook and Samuel A. Cook.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, September 30 in the Chapel of the Shorter Funeral Home with interment to follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Burkeville.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening (tonight) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
