The Breast Milk Cure Is The Answer

Editor, The Herald:

Rarely does a simple answer exist to big questions like global starvation, but the answer to what to feed infants around the world was created when we were, regardless of how you answer that monumental question. The Breast Milk Cure focuses on Africa and the low rates of nursing mothers, though we don't have far to look to see our natural food source being overlooked, shunned or misunderstood. Not only is it best for mother and child, it's free and portable!

And we are fortunate to have local resources for mom's in need of support & guidance! We have a local chapter of BirthMatters, for families before and after welcoming a new life. Their monthly meetings are first Tuesdays. Please contact Joy Long, 434-414-0044 for more information. And for mothers looking for other moms making the choice to breastfeed we have a support group headed by Beth Marmorstein, http://fbsg.marmorstein.org, (434) 392-9871, purplegamba@gmail.com.

For the health of our children, the health of our mothers, the health of our families, the health of the planet I hope to see more and more of 'the cure' for our future generations.
