Once again, we at the Arvonia Fire Department would like to say THANKS to everyone that came out for our chicken barbecue. As in the past, it was a great success. Without the community support of the donated cakes and baked beans, and especially everyone who stood in line to get the meal, it would not have been so successful.

I would also like to thank each fire department member, their families and the Auxiliary for their hard work in helping to prepare and serve the meal.

So many give of their time and funds and ask for nothing in return, day-in and day-out, not only from our department but from all the firefighters and rescue squads in the county. It really makes you feel good to know that the people of this county and surrounding counties are always there when we need help with fundraisers such as the barbecues so that we can continue to operate and be there when needed in emergencies.
