April 22 – Happy Birthday wishes are sent out to John Davis, of New Canton, celebrating on Friday, April 22, Bill Pembleton, of Powhatan, Todd Worley, of Cumberland, Nancy Fairchild, of New Canton, Ray Martin and Bernice Baird, of Dillwyn, all celebrating on Sunday, April 24, Junior Midkiff, of Cumberland, celebrating on Monday, April 25, Neal Allen, of Dillwyn, celebrating on Wednesday, April 27; and Doris Roberts of New Canton, and Caroline Martin (daughter of Toney and Rebecca Martin of Buckingham) celebrating Thursday, April 28.
Ginger Guthrie and Janie Kear of Cumberland, visited in the home of Barry and Linda Miles in Cumberland on Friday afternoon, April 15.
Our prayers and thoughts go out this week to all those who are sick and shut-in.
Visiting in the home of Ann Carter of Dillwyn last week for a few days was her sister Dot Brown of Richmond.
A Pre-Easter family lunch was held on Sunday, April 17 in the home of James and Virginia Boyles in Cumberland. A large crowd attended and enjoyed great food, fun and fellowship.
Elizabeth Stone, of Dillwyn, visited her daughter in Richmond last week for a few days.
Our sympathy is extended to the LeSueur family of Dillwyn. Nannie L. LeSueur, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 13. A funeral service was held April 17 Cedar Baptist Church in Dillwyn. She will be greatly missed by all.
Pete and Annie May Miles, of Dillwyn, visited his sister, Frances Smith, in Dillwyn last week.
Spreading God's Gifts Inc. hosted a Pancake and Sausage Supper and concert on Saturday evening, April 9 in the Buckingham County Middle School Cafetorium. Approximately $900 was raised. A special thanks to all the sponsors and singers Holly Cook of Powhatan and Glen Shelton of Madison Heights for performing and also to those attending and supporting spreading God's Gifts and McDonald's of Dillwyn, donated food items.

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association a non-profit organization, will be host their regular monthly meeting on Monday, May 2 at 5 p.m. at Shoney's in Farmville. All members are asked to attend and are reminded that their meal is paid for from the budget. There will be a $10.50 charge for all guests for the complete meal.
