BLACKSTONE, April 5 – Elizabeth Gunn Bell, 87, of Blackstone, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011.

She was a graduate of the Blackstone College for Girls, a very devout Christian and longtime member of Blackstone Baptist Church. She was a very special person to everyone she met.

Mrs. Bell is survived by her husband of 67 years, James H. Bell; two daughters, Judy Bell Armes (Tommy) of Blackstone and Mitzi Bell Thackston (Chris) of Farmville; sister, Inez Chiles of Blackstone; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many relatives; her church family and many friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 2, at Blackstone Baptist Church, Blackstone, with the Rev. Rob Brown officiating. Burial followed in St. Mark's Church Cemetery, Crewe.
