Suspect Charged

BUCKINGHAM – According to a press release issued last week by the Buckingham County Sheriff's Office, a 24 year-old male has been arrested in connection with an on-going investigation that began in October 2010 of numerous burglaries and thefts from hunting cabins in the western part of the county.
The press release advised that one of the suspects was apprehended after the Sheriff's Office completed a search warrant for stolen property at a residence on February 17.
“Investigators seized a large cache of stolen property from the residence,” added the release, alleging that investigators were able to connect fourteen individual criminal cases to the suspect.
Continuing, the release reported that the suspect was apprehended on February 22 on 32 outstanding warrants and is currently being held without bail at Piedmont Regional Jail.
According to the information provided by the Sheriff's Office, the suspect was charged with six felony counts of burglary, 11 felony counts of grand larceny, 14 misdemeanor counts of destruction of property, and one misdemeanor count of petty larceny.
