ABILENE, March 29 – Barbara Swarthout Clark, 75, of Abilene, passed away Monday, March 28, 2011 in Burkeville. She was born in Williamsport, PA, on December 14, 1935, to the late Lamont and Luella Swarthout. She was a devoted homemaker and dearly loved her family and birds.

Surviving are her husband, Ernest Lee Clark; sons, Herbert Lee Clark of Richmond and Curtis Wade Clark of Abilene; daughter, Barbara Elizabeth Clark of Crewe; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and six brothers and sisters.

Memorial services will be held later in New York.
