BUCKINGHAM, Oct. 26 – Richard D. Hensley “Doug”, of Buckingham, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 23, 2010.

He is survived by his loving mother, Esther Whorley of Buckingham; three children and their spouses, Ricky Hensley and wife, Sandy of Chicago, IL, Rhonda Jackson and Kenny of Dothan, AL, and Robin Lewis and David of Cottonwood, AL; grandchildren, Casi, Cari, Kody and Christina, all of Alabama; four sisters, Linda Moore (Roger), Margaret Estes (Bob), Darlene Whorley and Shirley Shumaker (Bruce), a brother, Willie Whorley, all of Buckingham; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held (today) Tuesday, October 26, at the Buckingham Community Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Buckingham County Rescue Squad.

Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, was in charge of arrangements.
