Editor, The Herald:

We proudly want to add our voices in support of Congressman Tom Perriello. In our thirty years as residents of Virginia and twenty three of those in Farmville, we have never had a Congressman who has worked so hard for his district and communicated with his constituents so well.

Thank you for your editorial in the paper on Thursday Sept. 30. We have always been in favor of health care for all and were so proud of congressman Tom for voting for the President's plan. As you said in your editorial, we don't know all the details but we are much more concerned by all the MIS-information that is out there in the press and on the airwaves. Some of the articles are downright lies (though not in The Herald editor's comments) and we are so sorry for folks who get all their information from the right-wing press, or from Fox or the Tea Party and Sarah Palin!!

A concerned voter will make it a practice to READ both sides of all the issues or as much as is available before making a decision as to which way to vote. NO, we do not want to go back to the failed policies of the 2000-2008 and former Administrations. Can you really imagine John Boehner as speaker of the house, with his sidekick Eric Cantor, or Mitch McConnell of the party of NO in charge of Congress???
