NORTH CAROLINA, Sept. 14 – Mary Beth Blosser Nicholson, 50, of Wilmington, NC, formerly of Culpeper, passed away at her home in North Carolina Wednesday, September 8, 2010. She was born in Charlestown, WV on June 22, 1960, to Robert “Bud” C. Blosser, III and Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Bailey Blosser.
She was a devoted mother and had worked as a Guidance Counselor at Sycamore Elementary School in Culpeper.
Surviving Mrs. Nicholson is her husband, John R. Nicholson of Wilmington, NC; children, Allison Gayheart of Washington, D.C., Andrew “Drew” Gayheart of Blacksburg, Cole Gayheart of Culpeper, and step-son, John William Nicholson of Culpeper; siblings, Robert C. Blosser, IV and wife, Debbie of Charlottesville, Dan Blosser of Richmond, Lorie Radliff and husband, Steve of Ivy, Joanna Baird and husband, Greg of Kiawah, SC; her parents, Bud Blosser and wife, Martha Sue of Farmville, and Betty Blosser of Culpeper; a number of nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Nancy E. Nicholson of Richmond, and aunt, Brenda B. Dickson and husband, Tom of Columbus, Ohio.
A memorial service was held on Sunday in the Culpeper Baptist Church with Dr. R. Wayne Bernardo conducting the service.
