Editor, The Herald:

Thanks to all who attended this outreach to surrounding communities. And a special thank you to Smokey Wilson of Concord and his wife Brenda for putting aside an evening a year to come to our home and sing praises to our Lord Jesus Christ, to sing songs that remind us what Jesus has done and is doing for us today. And yes to remind us with songs and words the promises He's given in His word that were never alone, that He is with us now and throughout eternity, Bless you Smokey and your continued ministry.

Thanks to Jesus for giving us the resources to serve you through serving others. It is time and work getting everything together but when you look around and hear all the appreciation then you realize nothing is too hand when you can vision such a special outcome. This morning I had heard someone had spoken the words “That's what it's all about,” well needless to say hearts were touched and blessed. So many are looking forward to our fifth annual Christian Fellowship that will be Friday, Sept. 16, 2011, 5-9 p.m. Hope to see old and new friends. We had estimated turnout of 130 this year, yes it's growing.

Thanks to all who volunteered their help.

Thanks to the ones who helped with the opening and closing of the evening with prayer and words of encouragement and truth. During the closing prayer it was mentioned an appreciation for some asking for prayer, this is a continuous reminder that prayer is always the most important thing we can do for one another, yes start there but if we can do more than we step up and make a difference a positive difference, there are people were around every day that could use something we have to make there day a little brighter, cause be as simple as a smile on a kind word. Jesus will give you all you need for that time, that situation, just listen then act.

Thanks again everyone for all the reminders through song and words for the reason were here for, and yes that's loving and serving God and loving one another, through service and prayer. “We are thankful for this opportunity.”
