JUNE 3 – William Arthur Blake, 63, passed away at Duke Raleigh Hospital, Friday, May 30, 2008. Mr. Blake was born in Prince Edward County to the late James Edward and Mary Catlette Blake. He is also predeceased by his sister, Helen Blake.

Mr. Blake is survived by his wife, Diane R. Blake; son, Christopher Keith Blake and wife, Michelle; daughters, Stephanie Blake Scott and husband, William and Denise Ritchie; brother, James T. Blake of Dillwyn; sisters, Mary B. Yeatts of Rice, Marian B. Lane of Fuquay-Varina and Peggy B. Moore of Gladstone; grandchildren, Hailey Alexis Blake and Dylan Ritchie.

Mr. Blake was employed by Jones Landscaping and loved his work.

A graveside service was held at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery, Dillwyn, on Tuesday, June 3.

The family has requested that donations be made to Enon Baptist Church, 8814 Andersonville Rd., Dillwyn, Va. 23936 in the name of William Arthur Blake.
