KENTUCKY, Sept. 29 – Will Pettus, of Keysville/Farmville, 35, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2009, in Middlesboro, KY.

He is survived by his father, Willie Pettus; step-mother, Ellen Pettus; and step-sister, Maria Knight.

Mr. Pettus was a 1990 graduate of Rustburg High School, received a BS degree in Agriculture from Ferrum College, and a BS degree in Anthropology from Longwood University. He taught at Appomattox Middle School and Prince Edward High School. He has worked as a Field Archeologist and with the Student Conservation Association.

The funeral was held at the Drakes Branch Presbyterian Church on Sunday, with interment in the church cemetery.
