RICE, July 15 – Weldon Flave King, 83, of Rice, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 11, 2008.

He is survived by his wife, Alma; daughters, Phyllis Norris of Middlebrook, and Irene Williamson of Powhatan; brother, Herbert King of Crewe; sister, Lelia Gills of Rice; three grand-children and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Monday at Sandy Creek Baptist Church, Jetersville, with interment in the church cemetery.

Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, Amelia, served the family.
