FLORIDA, March 3 – Thomas W. Jones, 89, of Sanford, Florida, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2009. He was born September 1, 1919 in Buckingham County, and moved to Central Florida in 2002.

He was a Foundry worker for General Motors and a veteran of the US Army.

Mr. Jones is survived by a son, Thomas L. (Mary) Jones of North Bangor, NY; daughters, Gloria Jones of Culver City, CA, Carol (Jim) Thorpe of Heathrow, FL, and Lori (Jeff) Harvey of Culver City, CA; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at Slate River Baptist Church on Thursday, March 5, at noon, with a wake, with interment in Slate River Baptist Cemetery.
