DECEMBER 15 – Thomas Ellison Jacobs, 83, of Farmville, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2009 in Farmville.

He was a retired General Motors Company employee, and a veteran of the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Allen and Tennie Ellison Jacobs.

He is survived by two cousins, Joan Jacobs Simpson and husband, Howard F. Simpson and Estelle Jacobs Womack, all of Farmville; his loving ex-wife, Mary Jacobs of Essexville, MI, and five children.

Graveside funeral services were conducted Saturday at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice.

The Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville, served the family.
