CUMBERLAND, July 8 – Susan Bucknam Grant (Sissy), 39, of Cumberland, died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at her home.

She is survived by a son, Adam Grant; brother, Robert Wayne McKay; half brother, Charles E. McKay; a long time partner, Richard English and his mother, Molly Fields and family; foster mother, Shirley Bucknam; two foster sisters, Teresa B. Coleman and Melody B. Fishburne; her devoted friends, Terri Page, Barbara Moorefield, and Virginia Robertson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James (Big) Bucknam and Polly Adams Bucknam.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Shorter Funeral Home of Farmville, where services will be conducted in the Chapel at 11 a.m., Wednesday, with interment to follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice.
