DILLWYN, Feb. 10 – Sam Jack Taylor, 90, of Dillwyn, died Thursday, February 5, 2009. He was born August 10, 1918 in Buckingham County, the son of the late John Taylor and Adallen McFadden Taylor and widower of Sallie Godsey Taylor.

He is survived by a daughter, Ada T. Garrett and husband, William of Dillwyn; three sons, Herman Taylor and wife, Temple of Dillwyn, Luke Taylor and wife, Joyce and Reid Taylor and wife, Norma all of Scottsville; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.

Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, was in charge of arrangements.
