BUCKINGHAM, June 16 – Ruby Garnett Jamerson Shumaker, 80, of Buckingham County, died Sunday, June 14, 2009. She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Shumaker and a sister, Fannie Smith.

She is survived by four sons, Billy Shumaker and wife, Mary of Dillwyn, Jimmy Shumaker of Buckingham, Roger Shumaker and wife, Linda of Dillwyn, and Frankie Shumaker and wife, Lois of Buckingham; 12 grand-children and 15 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Walter Cox.

Funeral services were held Tuesday (today) at the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in Buckingham Community Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Buckingham County Rescue Squad.
