Roland Grenouillou III, 32 Son Of Pamplin Residents, Dies

NORTH CAROLINA, Sept. 17 – Roland Grenouillou, III, 32, passed away Monday afternoon, September 14, 2009 at Duke University Hospital. He was born in Wake County, the son of Millie McManus Grenouillou and Roland Leon Grenouillou Jr. He was a missionary who had served in Venezuela, China, the United Kingdom and Tampa, FL and many other mission fields. Mr. Grenouillou had recently received his Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and had devoted his life to faithful Christian service.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Richland Creek Community Church with the Rev. Mike Frye officiating. Burial will be Friday at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte.
Mr. Grenouillou is survived by his parents, Millie and Roland Grenouillou of Pamplin; sister, Kate Pullen and husband, Daniel; niece, Makenzey and nephew, Jackson all of Buxton, NC; and numerous friends.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the “PAL Student Group,” c/o SEBTS, P.O. Box 1889, Wake Forest, NC 27587. Checks should be made to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary or to “Friends of Internationals,” 13110 North 50th Street, Tampa, FL. Checks should be made payable to FIBCM.
The body will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 12:30 p.m.-2 p.m. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
