April 22 – Phyllis Clifton McGall, 61, died at her home in Farmvllle on Thursday, April 22, 2004. She was preceded in death by her father, Vester M. Clifton.

Mrs. McGall was born in Pamplln and graduated from Appomattox High School In 1961. After living in Sparta, NC for 12 years, she moved to Farmvllle and worked at South-side Community Hospital for 18 years as supervisor of the Business Office.

She is survived by her husband, James G. McGall, Sr.; her mother, Louise McCormick of Appomattox; a daughter, Sharon Henry Miller and husband, David of Richmond; two sons, Michael Henry and wife, Brenda of N. Wilkesboro, NC and Chris Henry of Richmond; five grandchildren, Ashley, Amy, Samantha and Nathan Miller all of Richmond and Savanah Henry of N. Wilkesboro, NC; two brothers, Bobby Clifton and wife. Kitty and Tony Clifton and wife, Joyce both of Appomattox; three stepchildren, James G. McGall, Jr. and wife, Birgit of California, Joni M. Atkins and Jeffrey A. McGall both of Richmond; step grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Doyne-Burger-Davis Funeral Home, Farmville, with interment in Westvlew Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Oncology Department at Southslde Community Hospital.
