“Peaches” Vaughan Dies September 17 At Home In Burkeville

BURKEVILLE, Sept. 24 – Noland Alise Hubbard Vaughan (Peaches), of Burkeville, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at her home. She was a homemaker and widow of John W. Vaughan, Sr.
She is survived by her eight children, Lynn Vaughan of Green Bay, J.W. Vaughan Jr. of Welcome, NC, Victor Vaughan of Phoenix, AZ, Donald Vaughan of Harrisburg, PA, Judy Perkins of Burkeville, Sherry Howerton of Rawlings, Randy Vaughan of Lynchburg and Jessie Tipton of Farmville; a sister, Alma May Johnson of Burkeville, 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
For 30 years she helped provide the music for the dances at the Modern Woodmen Hall in Farmville.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Burkeville Baptist Church with interment in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice.
