Pauline H. Hudgins, 93 Of Dillwyn Dies In Farmville

DILLWYN, July 23 – Pauline H. Hudgins, 93, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 in Farmville. She was born September 3, 1915 in Fluvanna County to the late John William and Mary Amos Harlow.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Andrew Hudgins; three infant sons; grandson, Ronald Boyles; great-grandsons, Jamie Allen and Jimmy Boyles; and great-great- granddaughters, Mia and Megan Boyles.

She is survived by three daughters, Virginia M. Boyles (James) of Cumberland, Annie May Miles (Pete), and Sandra Ownby (Rodney) both of Dillwyn; six grandchildren, Rene Marion (Kevin) of Cumberland, T.J. Waycaster (Stephanie) of Powhatan, Barry Miles (Linda) of Cumberland, Larry Boyles (Mericia) of Dillwyn, Debbie Allen (Dennis) and Michael Boyles both of Cumberland; 14 great-grandchildren, Casey and Cheyenne Marion of Cumberland, Blake and Jaksyn Waycaster of Powhatan, Pamela Ownby, Nicole Dickson (George), Vernon Boyles (Michelle), Jason Boyles (Samantha), Eugene Boyles (Ida), Danny Boyles and Reva Allen all of Cumberland, Amy Hintz (Todd), Michelle Whitley (Chris) of Powhatan, and Samantha Lowe of Farmville; 18 great-great-grandchildren, Tiffany and Ciera Ownby, J.R. and Austin Lowe, Christina Boyles, Dakada and Kaleb Boyles, Brittany Meadows, Clayton Allen-Hamby, Hunter and Mason Whitley, Miranda Boyles, Savannah Dickson, Addison and Madalyn Boyles, Joseph and Alex Boyles, and Natalie Hintz; and her beloved and faithful caregiver, Florence Lango of Dillwyn.

Funeral service will be held on Friday at the Dunkum Funeral Home at 1 p.m. with interment in the Hudgins Family Cemetery on Trents Mill Road.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
