Pasquale Marconi, Jr., 77

MAY 1 – Pasquale Genero, Marconi Jr. (affectionately known as Pat), 77, departed this life in peace and with dignity and courage on the morning of Wednesday, April 30, 2008 after a long battle with illness.

He was born in Freeland, PA on February 6, 1931, the fifth child of Rose and Pasquale Sr. He grew up with three brothers and five sisters, three of whom have departed this life before him.

Pat Marconi served in the Army Air Corp/United States Air Force from 1948-1954. Upon retirement from active duty, he served 34 years in the United States Postal Service, from which he retired in 1988.

He was a cummunicate of St. Theresa Catholic Church of Farmville. He moved to Virginia with his wife and son in 1991, where he happily lived his retirement fishing the local lakes.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Jean; children, Jayson, Gary, Karen, and Donna; brother and sisters, Paul, Rosalie, Betty Anne, Fran, and Theresa; numerous grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Mr. Marconi lived a long and happy life, and those who knew him rejoice in the love and joy he shared. He is at peace in the loving arms of God and those who have passed on before him.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 3, at 11 a.m. in St. Theresa Catholic Church, with interment in Westview Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday night. from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
