SCOTTSVILLE, Oct. 21 – Otis Lee Hackett, Sr., 70, of Scottsvllle (Buckingham County) passed away at his home Wednesday, October 20, 2004.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Shirley Astroth Hackett; three children, Marcella Johnson and her husband, Eddie, Angela Davis and her husband, David and Otis Lee Hackett, Jr. all of Scottsvllle; two sisters, Lillian Ragland of Scottsvllle and Katherine Pace of Richmond; four grandchildren Kristen and Brandon Johnson, Nikki Hackett and Dylan Davis and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the Glenmore Volunteer Fire Department, the Lean N Pine Hunt Club and had retired from Uniroyal-Goodrich, Scottsvllle, with 32-1/2 years of service.

Mr. Hackett was also a member of Glenmore United Methodist Church where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday. The Reverend James 0. Radford will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at Thacker Brothers Funeral Home, Scottsvllle.
