VICTORIA, August 24 – Kclell Malinda Stockton Crute, 84, of Victoria, died on August 23, 2004, in Farmville. She was the widow of William Joseph Crute.

Mrs. Crute is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Dora Crute Chaffin and Wilkie C. Chaffin of Prince Edward County, and Carolyn Crute McLemore and John C. McLemore of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Meg Eastman of Richmond, Elisabeth McLemore of Missoula, MT, and Will McLemore of Austin, TX; a brother, Ronald Stockton of Farmville: a sister, Janice Shelton of Richmond; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Victoria Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Shorter Funeral Home in Farmville.

The graveside service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bethpeor Baptist Church on Five Forks Road in Prince Edward County. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
