MEHERRIN, Jan. 22 – Diana Faye Coleman-Lewis, 53, died Tuesday, January 6, 2004 in Brooklyn Hospital of Brooklyn, New York.

She was born December 28, 1950, a daughter of the late Ben and Bessie Coleman.

She received her education in Prince Edward County Schools and later joined the Job Corps. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church but later relocated to Brooklyn, MY and joined Greater Joy Baptist Church.

She is survived by her brothers, Bennie Coleman, Jr. of Meherrin and Alvin T. Coleman of Alberta; three sisters, Beulah Peterson of Brooklyn, NY, Jean Barnes and Shirl Walton both of Meherrin and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy Lewis and a brother, William Watson.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 12 at New Bethel Baptist Church, Meherrin, with interment in the church cemetery.

Wilson Funeral Home, Keysvllle, was in charge of arrangements.
