MAY 15 – Mrs. Arbie Eleanor Smith, 85, of Farmville passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2008 in Richmond. She was born October 4, 1922 and was the widow of Edward D. Smith.

She is survived by her son, Charles E. Smith and wife, Elaine of Herndon; sister, Virgie Stevenson of Newport News; sister-in-law, Roxie Brown of Waynesville, NC; granddaughter, Mrs. Charlan Cornwell and husband, Michael of Haymarket; great-grandson, Jackson Todd Cornwell and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, May 18, at 3:30 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday evening 6-8 p.m. at the Puckett Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Concord Baptist Church.
